Private Chef & Owner, Margarita Burgess
Hello, I'm Margarita Burgess, Private Chef and Owner of GAF Catering Services. As a Texan, born and raised in the Coastal Bend, I've always had a passion for food culture and diverse cuisines.
Raised by a single mother of five, who also cared for her parents, I learned the value of hard work at a young age. My mother spent most of her career in the food industry, working in local grills, in her sister's restaurant and then finally opening her own restaurant, Los Reyes Mexican Café in Ingleside, Texas. She was known to everyone for the delicious meals she lovingly crafted. Her enchiladas and tamales were locally renowned. My mother was my biggest influence in the kitchen.
Then there was my grandmother, taking the time to make homemade tortillas every day after school. I remember how special it felt to get the first warm tortilla, fresh off the comal. It was heaven.
Those lasting memories created a passion for food and fresh ingredients that would stick with me over my lifetime. After working for over 16 years for the military, I am excited to pursue a cooking career and establish a business that would make my mother and grandmother proud.
Cooking has always been my first love and I take pride in feeding family and friends at my home every weekend. Watching these two amazing, strong, loving women cook with their hearts every day is the greatest example any little girl could have. Now, as a mother and wife, I'm able to share the same food from my childhood with my own family. And that is truly special.
I am beyond excited to start this new adventure and see what Our Lord has planned for me. At GAF Catering, we strive to give every client the best experience. We serve up all of our meals with love and care, so you can be sure we're giving you the same good, wholesome meals we would make for our own families. Because you are family to us.

Custom Catering Menus:
If you have a special event that requires a custom menu, we're flexible and ready to help you tailor a menu to your specific event. Don't hesitate to reach out to us for more information about how we can customize a menu for your event.
Special Diets:
We currently do not offer menus for specialty diets, such as gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan or allergen-free. If you have a special dietary need, please contact us to see if we can create a custom menu for your event. Please note that custom menus will be created at an additional cost to you.
